Collection of Personal Information

Most areas of this website do not require registration or membership, including simply browsing the site. Personal information such as name, address, phone number and email addresses are collected through the membership upgrade process when you purchase time for the line, and when registering to use Cruiseline text. This information is collected and retained on our secure servers, by our third party billing and text service partners on secure servers owned by them. Our transmission of your information to third party billers is encrypted, and safeguarded by industry standard PCI compliance. Cruiseline.ca may on occasion use statistical data collected through the registration/purchase process to help us improve our services, including demographic information about our members. This information will only be used in aggregated and anonymous form.

What We Do With Your Information

We use your email address for Cruiseline membership upgrade purposes only, such as to confirm and process membership purchases. We do not contact our members by email or other means for any purpose, unless we are answering a customer service inquiry and are specifically asked for a response by the member. We do not contact our members unsolicited for any reason, and Cruiseline.ca will never sell or disclose your email address or any other personal information about you to any third party without your express permission, except where we are required to do so by law.

Marketing, Statistics & Demographics

Cruiseline.ca may collect statistics and demographics about website usage and information about your computer, internet connection, your computer's IP address and geographic location, the type and version of browser and operating system you use, your internet domain and, if you arrived at Cruiseline.ca via a link from another website, the URL of the linking page and the keyword(s) that you used. This information is used for assessing usage patterns and demographics of site users; popularity and usage of site features etc; compatibility of our site with popular browsers and operating systems; and to assist us with our strategic planning and development and advertiser relations. Information collected during the membership upgrade / billing process is stored indefinitely on secure servers owned by us, and by our third party billing partners. Information collected during text registration is stored on secured servers owned by our third part text services partner, Vocomo.ca.
